How To: Keep Your Dogs Away From Ticks
Most of you reading this article have a pet, weather it's a dog or cat, they all face the same problem of ticks and bugs during summer. 1) Avoid letting your dog walk on dense grass during bugs and ticks season as most of the ticks like to stay several feet off the ground on top of vegetation and high grass.
2) Ticks are common near slum areas so try to dispose you trash cans properly.
3) Before going to ticks prone area, spray you pet's coat with insecticide or an herbal spray that will kill ticks on contact with them.
4) Combing your pet's coat regularly minimizes the risk of being attacked by tick or bugs.

No doubt these methods will minimizes the risk of you pet being attacked by ticks but it's also important to safely remove ticks from your pet. For this use tweezers to grab hold of it. After removing dispose them properly as they could again attack your pet. For this place the tick in alcohol to make sure that they are properly killed. By taking simple precautions you can make you pet ticks free all around the clock.
